Westcon provide one system with a classroom PC for each pair of course attendees. Participants are welcome to bring their own laptops.
Course Outline: This course is designed for Resellers with IP Office installation and maintenance responsibilities.
The aim of this course is to provide participants with the skills they need to implement and maintain an IP Office 500 system. During the course the learner will have the opportunity to practice using the configuration and diagnostic tools as well as the user based applications.
The main topics of this course include:
- Hardware overview of IP Office 500 control unit and expansion modules.
- Upgrade of core software.
- Using the IP Office Manager Configuration tool to administer system settings and PBX functionality.
- Administration of security settings.
- Configuration of system facilities through practical examples.
- Installation and configuration of digital handsets – 2400/5400/1400 series.
- Installation and configuration of IP telephones – 5600/1600/9600 series.
- Overview of settings to enable the use of SIP Trunks and Terminals
- Configure Small Community Networking
- Use of System Status Application to monitor call details, extensions, trunks, and system resources
- Use Avaya IP Office embedded VoiceMail and Auto Attendant facility
- Installation of VoiceMail Pro and construction of advanced Auto Attendant call flows
